Evaluation

After completing this unit of Enterprise & Entrepreneurship, i have come to the conclusion that this journey has been exciting and stressful with other units with it. I have learnt a lot about starting of a business and making money. It requires motivation, commitment, organization and ambition. Getting yourself out there to sell your product isn't easy, but i have learnt there are any ways of doing that. Keeping to budget and schedule times and etc. I have always seen myself to be a designer to any item, whether it is designing a character, or a clothing, or even illustration; I believe I can do it.

I am definitely looking on continue on the brand Urbanize-it and see how far it takes me with members in this. Doing this unit has equipment me with basic knowledge that is needed to start and push toward a small business/trade.

Summative Feedback

My Group Urbanize-it had our summative which was an presentation that we had with two fellow tutors. we had our meeting at 10.45 with only Linnea Dimitrious who was very interested in what we have done since the last time she saw us. Me and Shuhel pitched our brand clothing company briefly and straight to the point. we told her how we Researched, Scheduled, Budgeted, Market, Promoted and used statergies to over come trials and saving money.

We came prepared with a Powerpoint presentation demonstrating all the information. We also came with a copy of the T-shirt and a urbanize-it flyer that we made. Linnea was very amazed with the outcome of what we have done. She definitely saw potential in the clothing brand and Design look. She also saw that there was a big market out there for this.

We told her how we wasn't able to sell alot of our t-shirts where we only sold 5 tops at the price of £15. These were through friends and family. we did also go out there to sell the product in shops which was good cause we received critical feedback. Two shop were happy enough to sell our product in their shop. They give it 6 out of 10 on the brand design.

Linnea give us some valid feedback on how its about how you market the product. She also suggested that we should of sold it for £25-£35 Starting price at least. This was good feedback she give us, which we will take in account for next time. I found her advice useful.

Promoting Outside

Now it was time to start promoting the Brand T-Shirts outside into Shops. Trying to get the product to sell isnt going to be easy in a short amount of time that i was left ( 3weeks ).

This was one shop that i went to in brixton where they sell urban T-shirts and Jeans.

I asked the manger to the shop if it was alright to sell the brand t-shirts in there shop for exposure.

The guy said it was alright for the T-shirts to be sold in he's shop for a week.

After the agreement was made by the manger, selected an area where the could hang up some T-shirts.

The manger give the Brand T-shirt 5/6 out of 10 which was ok. I would of given my T-shirt 8/9 out of 10.

He is an image was the manger who agreed to sell the product t-shirts in he's shop. I also left some Flyers with him in case they wanted to know more about urbanize-it and where they was purchase it.

Here is a image i took of the brand urbanize-it T-Shirt in black and white with the promotion flyer we made.

Close up image of the design iron transfer printed on the t-shirts with shiny glue stones i brought separately at the side of the brand design, to give it that bling. 

Here also created the labelling for T-shirt urbanize-it, which was replaced. i very loved doing this because it give the t-shirt the finishing touch. I used a Ribbon and stitched it in, with the printed Logo.

This is a copy of the digital flyer made by myself. I thought about the look and design of the flyer, in relationship with the urbanize it logo (Theme). Shuhel wrote the description of what the company brand is all about, which wanted to be sweet and short for customers to read.

Urbanize-It: Modelling

I made some samples of the t-shirt urbanize-it on blank tops that i orderd through These were iron transfer prints. After did about 5 tops, i decided to go and find people (models) who could wear the brand to take pictures for promotion.

i couldn't find much people who were willing to do it for free, without being paid. Eventually i just used some 2 guys i knew and my brother.

This is image is the best one and friend took for me when i give him a copy of the brand that he seen intersted in.
